What’s the story behind?
Large cruise liners are the reason of several debeate in touristic areas, such as Venice, where the discussion whether or not these “Monsters” should be banned or not, comes up on a regular basis. WU Professor Giuseppe Delmestri and his co-authors Claudio Biscaro and Mia Raynard investigated why there are still large cruise liners entering Venice via the Giudecca Canal although everyone is aware of the fact that this is a massive problem for the lagoon city.
