Our contribution to more inclusion: The room for barrier-free working in the WU Library
Do you need a large font keyboard or a Braille printer? Are you looking for a room where you can write an exam without distractions?

Der Raum für barrierefreies Arbeiten in der WU Bibliothek. The room for barrier-free working in the WU Library.
In the room for barrier-free working you will find, among other things, technical aids for people with (visual) impairments.
What characterises the room?
State-of-the-art technology is available in the room for barrier-free working. For example, there is a PC with a Braille display and a printer that can also emboss. The screen reader has a read-aloud function and the option of displaying texts in different contrasts.

The learning and workspace was planned in such a way that wheelchair users can also use it without any problems. For example, the tables are height-adjustable without steps. The room cannot be seen from outside, which means you can work here undisturbed.

Where can I find the room?
The room for barrier-free working is located in the library centre on level 4 in room LC.4.026. If you would like to use the room, simply send us an email to bibliothek@wu.ac.at.
The colleagues from the library will also be happy to give you an introduction to using the technical equipment.
BeAble – undisturbed exam writing
In cooperation with the WU programme BeAble – Unhindered Studying! you can also use the room to write an exam without distraction. If you need the room for an exam, please contact beable@wu.ac.at.
