Citing made easy
Are you at the beginning of an academic paper, full of ideas and inspiration? As you dive into the depths of the literature, do you sometimes lose track of all the information you’ve collected? Quotes and sources are swirling around in your head, and you feel like you need to organize it all somehow. That’s where the WU Library comes in: it shows you what literature management programs can do.
How software programs help with reference management
- They help you organize your sources and structure your work.
- You can use them to create a bibliography in the citation style of your choice in no time at all.
- With a systematic literature review, you can save results from multiple databases and then remove duplicate entries.

What programs are available at WU?
WU gives you access to EndNote and Citavi. The library staff will be happy to help you. We can also answer any questions you may have about the open-source software Zotero and Juris-M.
The Fit4Research e-learning course provides information about the individual programs. Our selection guide will help you choose the right program.
Here you can find details on the WU citation styles.

How do I cite AI-generated content?
When using AI tools in your academic work, transparency is essential. This means that you must clearly document in your work which AI tool you used for which sections, and how.
Please note: Always check with your instructors first before using AI tools.
On Fit4Research, you will find suggestions for citing AI-generated content according to the APA, Chicago, and MLA citation styles.
