Charlotte Panhans, student of the WU Bachelor’s Program in Business, Economics and Social Sciences enrolled in the Economy, Environment, Politics major

It’s our responsibility to work for a livable future.

The Economy, Environment, Politics major gives me the skills I need to think systematically about complex problems, to develop sustainable solutions, and to help put them into practice.

What stands out to me is the interdisciplinary approach that views the inseparably linked fields of economics and politics in their interactions with the environment. These interactions will become increasingly important going forward, resulting in a wide range of career opportunities.

Even in the introductory phase of the Bachelor’s Program in Business, Economics and Social Sciences, economic issues were discussed in relation to sustainability, and we students were introduced to the importance of this topic.

The Economy, Environment, Politics major offers me the potential to contribute to a sustainable transformation of the economy to ensure that the coming generations have the chance to experience a livable future.
