To change the world, we must first understand it. I’m part of a generation whose lives have been shaped by economic crises and their effects. At the time of the global financial crisis and the euro crisis, I was barely old enough to actively follow politics, but these events still shape our society today.

In my professional future, I see myself working on solutions to the many crises we’re currently facing – growing inequality, instability in the financial markets, or the climate crisis.

The Economics major has equipped me with the mathematical and economic tools needed to understand economic interrelationships and conduct empirical analyses. In addition, WU has offered me a variety of opportunities to expand my knowledge beyond the curriculum, including courses organized by us students ourselves, reading circles, and a wide range of lectures and workshops.
