After three years of continuous cooperation between the Institute for Higher Education Management and the<\/em> UN World Food Programme (WFP)<\/em><\/a>, the partnership has shifted its strategic focus towards artificial intelligence (AI) this year. WU SIMC students are strongly involved in this collaboration. The English-taught<\/em> SIMC (Strategy, Innovation and Management Control)<\/em><\/a> master’s program<\/em> closes the gap between the qualitative and quantitative aspects of management<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The students dealt with three critical areas: curating eLearning experiences, improving knowledge capture and discovery, and improving knowledge storage and retrieval for WFP with the goal of deepening the link between AI and innovation.<\/p>\n

Over the past three years, more than 100 WU students have worked with WFP<\/a> and made over 70 specific recommendations for action that have made significant contributions to the organization\u2019s innovation and knowledge management approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud that our students continue to do outstanding work for WFP,” says Bernhard B\u00f6hm, who teaches the Business Planning and Performance Management course. \u201cManifesting this collaboration and taking it to the next level is of central importance to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s focus on AI-powered solutions marks a significant improvement in the way knowledge management can advance WFP\u2019s humanitarian and development work.<\/p>\n

WFP and the Institute are preparing to expand their collaboration. This partnership aims to demonstrate the extent to which academic institutions and global organizations can work together to generate solutions to the key problems of our time.<\/p>\n
